A good musician can identify every line and space in both treble and bass clef.  Here are some simple phrases to help you remember:
  • Treble Clef Spaces: FACE ("Face the Spaces")
  • Treble Clef Lines: Every Good Boy Does Fine
  • Bass Clef Spaces: All Cows Eat Grass
  • Bass Clef Lines: Good Boys Do Fine Always
Each phrase starts on the bottom line or space and goes UP.  You can make up your own funny sayings to memorize the lines and spaces.
